Completely agree with your post. The stupidity, racism, and overall jealousy on this site never ceases to amaze. As if Gural being Jewish has anything to do with it. The meadowlands gets a VERY SMALL FRACTION of what other tracks get. Jealous bitches.

So because other tracks get subsidies the meadowlands is entitled to as well???

3 dancing bananas for the worst logic I’ve seen on plops in a while

WOW!! Chrystal Meth is a hell of a drug. New Jersey, I believe, gave $20 MILLION to be split between t-breds, and standardbreds. There are 2 so called harness tracks in NJ. Even if you were to believe The Pig M, and Freeholdyournose got $5 million each, which I don't, how in the hell could anyone with a functioning brain could think $5 Million is a VERy SMALL FRACTION of what other tracks get? Under your logic, the owners of Cal Expo ,and Bangor must be getting about $60 Million each. Thank you for your opinion, but I would suggest you call the Jethro Bodine school of accounting, and ask for a refund.

    Sincerely, Silent One

You can cherry pick your numbers if you want to be dishonest!

Here is a good comparison...... Pennsylvania gave their racing industry $242,000,000 last year, compare that to New Jersey's 20,000,000, so yes I call that a fraction.

Maybe you should get your refund from the Jethro Bodine school of accounting!

You could look at that another way, the 242mm was what the pa horsemwn negotiated to allow alternate forms of gaming in their state.

The meadowlands begged for a subsidy because they failed in obtaining a casino for themselves.

Not exactly a fair comp

On the other hand, there are no casinos allowed outside Atlantic City, so everybody failed to get 1.

Bottom line he will have racing with a cut of the purses of about 30% no big deal. He will still get full fields and all the top drivers will be there . Where else are they going?  Most go to Chester everyday and pocono and Timmy , Dexter, corey, Andrew all go to Dover as well.  So nothings changing . Hell They will go to Freehold as well as witnessed by this weekend. They are locusts.

NJ has a 10B projected deficit in 2021. There is zero chance a 20m subsidy get approved. They better figure out how to survive off handle + sports betting revenue.

If not they are toast.
