If Goofball doesn't get the subsidies does that mean he still can keep the sports book and shutter the horse racing. I'm not familiar with NJ politics.

I predict there will still be racing at the Pig M, but at greatly reduced purses. I also predict that Gural will blame everyone else but him.

very interested on how many of you have met Mr. Gural in person and spent time discussing the sport he loves Harness Racing ?

In any and all my many dealings with Mr. Gural have been extremely positive.
He is always willing to listen.

Before you bash, it would be nice if you knew the person you feel hatred for.

Then if the purses are greatly reduced I would think some of the drivers and trainers would be looking to move possibly to WEG.

Canadian dollar is weak

amounts to the same as racin for cheap purses at bigm

look for the Midwest to get a few drivers

especially ohio

WOW what is wrong with some of you people?

1st - Being Jewish should have nothing to do with this conversation.

2nd - Hush your not funny! your just plain SAD!

3rd - Where has Gural said that he would close the Meadowlands if the subsidy is removed?

4th - Ever other track gets their subsidy automatically, they dont have to beg for it, and what the Meadowlands gets is a fraction of what goes to other tracks.

5th - Its not a done deal that is will be removed (but I feel it probable will be removed because of covid induced tax shortages)

6th - The subsidy doesn't go to Gural it goes to the track and horsemen through purses.

Which allows Pinky Downs to remain open, AND for Goooooooffffrrrrr aaaaallllll to turn a profit. So PLEASE don't tell us GOOOOOOOFFFFRRRAA AALLLLL does not benefit from the subsidy  11.wp 11.wp 11.wp 11.wp 11.wp

WRONG as usual............ .

Without the subsidy the purses would just be smaller and Gural loses money either way!!!

So take you whip snaps and be wrong somewhere else.

Sir, while I am in complete agreement with you on your opinion, I do have several answers to your question.

   1. Harness Trainers
   2. Harness Drivers
   3. Harness Owners
   4. State Racing Officials.
   5. Track Management
