A couple weeks ago, Faraldo said the SOA would lend the purse account better than a million dollars to keep racing alive. Thats nice. My question, what is the SOA doing with a million cash?

You people always cheer me up when I need a laugh.

Better get the popcorn machine fixed and running smooth at Yonkers. Gonna have to sell a lot of those roasted luscious buttered kernals to the 8 octogenarian fans when fan attendance returns at empire.

Mgm cares about harness racing. ngc3 ngc3 ngc3

I heard their thinking of really getting behind doping too!  ngc3 ngc3

Their ad promoting the game will be:

"Drug abuse shouldn't be limited to humans. Get in the game."

Hey I saw a horse the other day that Crawford farms owns. It went from having Chris oakes as a trainer, to Nickie loafers as a trainer, to alagna as a trainer. Good folks!

I DONT GET WHY YOU ARE LUMPING TONY IN WITH THE OTHER TWO PEOPLE YOU MENTIONED AT THE END
“If wishes were horses, beggars would ride”

It is a business. Pure and simple. A well run business, will cater to their customers, who make the business money. The casinos draw PEOPLE ,and make the casino's a profit.. Harness racing draws on the profit margin of their business. If they were smart they would shut down harness racing entirely at racinos. What would the states say? NOTHING!! Because the mighty tax dollars are being generated by the casino's, not the whoresmen. Make America Great Again!!! Defund Harness Racing!!!

       Sincerely, Silent One

It would be nice if you would honor your name!

with the casino at MGM Yonkers Raceway slated to open September 21, the expected shutdown of racing on September 12 has been canceled. According to a Facebook post by SOA of New York President Joe Faraldo, the track will continue racing through December 22.

Below is the announcement:

"As a result of the SOA of NY covering purses for a number of weeks and the agreement reached with MGM Resorts Yonkers, there will not be any shutdown of racing. Racing will continue to next week on the same four-day schedule. Thereafter, racing will return to a five-day per week schedule through December 22. Entries for Monday September 14 will be taken Wednesday as per a condition sheet prepared today (Tuesday). Purses will remain at current levels until we see some build up in our purse account. It has been a long and bumpy ride so far. Stay safe and the best of racing luck to one and all.
