Harness Racing / Monticello Tuesday« Last post by dinkadoo on Today at 09:55:48 AM »Race 1 #8 Wiggle Town - practically an impossible spot, but this will remind me to watch him next week. Horse
raced with his head cocked sideways, but when his head was straight he went forward. Can't imagine him winning, or even trying for that matter but will keep tabs on. Race 4 #1 Sweet Ginger - bottled up last week and never a chance to get any kind of run #7 Pinebush Sweet Life - Easiest of winners last week in bottom conidition pacing back half in 57.3 and never really asked... Steps up which I think she could handle, but the 7 hole ?? Does she leave ? And at least try and get a seat... Doubt she could do it getting away next to last. Race 7 #5 Hypnotic Dream --- just a lousy trip stuck near the back behind horses going nowhere. Sowers, just rode with him around last turn and stretch -- that being said, he's 0 for 13 this year. Race 9 #6 Steel Schooner - made breaks last week as a big favorite, drops in class.... If figured out, should be able to handle this cheaper bunch. 3

Harness Racing / Re: A big day of Sires Stakes racing today at Vernon on 5-27-24 and-« Last post by The Thorn on Today at 09:23:12 AM »Announcer at Vernon must go The absolute worst Thought his calls today where spot on. I watched most of the races yesterday and he was horrible. It just seems he is uneducated about racing. The timer malfunctioned at the quarter a couple times and he couldn't figure out what was going on when it was apparent. He missed breakers all the time while wasting time calling out the stragglers. After the track got scraped and was in perfect condition for a fast mile due to the earlier rainstorm he had no clue it was even possible. etc etc etc. 5
Harness Racing / Re: Harness Racing Is The Very Definition Of Welfare Supported« Last post by Michael Petrelli on Today at 09:19:22 AM »FACTS: Harness Racing is an "industry" where lower middle class uneducated individuals who can never succeed in the real world or acquire and earn anything on their own that they themselves have worked for can pretend they are a success believing that playing with horses and loading them with drugs to win races makes them somebody. Cleaning stalls, harnessing a horse, bathing them, feeding them isn't work. It takes less knowledge than anyone stocking shelves at Walmart. It's a "job" where those with low self esteem feel like they are needed by someone and they contribute to society. Fact. If the free ride ends tomorrow and harness racing disappears NOBODY outside harness racing will care or notice. Only those who truly deserve the money being tossed in the trash to support a dead and abusive industry. These are facts. Deal with it. https://www.endhorseracingsubsidies.com/
