Now that Texas is Deep Blue, what is the math that gives a Republican win in the 2028 Presidential election?

According to JD Vance aka Misfit VEEP, they're losing Texas' 40 and gaining NY 28 and NJ 14, now they're ahead by 2 🙄

I believe that the election was a referendum on Donald Trump.
I believe that the cost of gas, food, housing, and healthcare were drivers for the voters anger.
President Trump failed in those areas.
The "pockerbook" issues affect many of my friends and family.
So now, I wish the Dems good luck in getting these costs down.
That is their challenge as we coast toward 2028.

Trump is not responsible for people to be more ambitious and successful.

Let's give him that.

He'll do it any cost.

Dude plays the game at the top tier level ever on this planet.

It's a dangerous, awful precedent the example he set.

But you have to get on your horse and ride, and make great things happen, do it your way.

You don't like the Trump example find a new mentor, but blaming is bullshit...we should all be able to afford the basics even under today's standard on our own...it's far from outrageous! 8)

This is why I respect Dougie. He is a true Republican who just stated exactly why those closest to Trump up for reelection got bent over and got a massive dildo up their rectums.

And when you say, "I wish the Dems good luck in getting these costs down.." I believe you and everyone should want this to happen as far as finaces go.

Thanks my friend! It's counter-productive to wish the winners bad luck. We want the costs of things reasonable. I'm a capitalist. I think that most Americans want to work. Earn a living. And provide for their families. Are there some "grifters out there"? Of course. But most Americans are good decent people. Hopefully the President will listen to some good ideas coming out of the next Congress.

I think the anger toward President Trump last night was on display from many leaving the polls. Many Indys, moderate GOPer's, and middle of the road Dems have tired of his message. And his promises. Many citizens are struggling. Here in New England, heating oil has more than doubled. Many seniors and the poor will have a tough time heating their homes with Winter around the corner. Those "pocketbook" issues, whether Trump was directly responsible for them or not relegated the GOP to the minority party. Probably for a long time.

We all know that, but who is going to fix that problem and at what cost?

R's give the freedom and money to their friends that cause this shit, Dems too, D's make them pay it back with higher taxes.  Socialists want to strangle wealth to death.

Point is people need to move someplace affordable...Amer ica ain't for everyone if you can't afford it. When its figured out move back.

This country assholes have expectations, don't / can't adapt, and complain and point the finger.

Be a boss! 8)

You must be a TAKER. The number of TAKERS keeps increasing. Next we will take all the wealth of the rich to pay for the ever increasing number of TAKERS. When that is gone, there will be nothing left and the house of cards will come tumbling down. We are on or way to being third world.

The democrats have enough TAKERS bought and paid for and enough voters who do not understand the most basic economic principles so the democrats are will on their way to being a one party dictatorship. NO KINGS?

The "pocketbook" issues affect most of us in the United States today!  Some more than others!

Questions of the day:

If the election was a referendum on Donald Trump, what would have been the result if this was a Presidential year election?

Will Trump help achieve the Democrats agenda or will he just say who cares like he did defending the War in Iran?

Horseplop isn’t a popularity contest!!

Since you thanked me for responding, I will. ngc3
Everything Dougie said is correct and I agree with.
I wish the dems luck. If they do well, the country does well  tmbz1
I expected conservatives to lose last night, but that was an ass kicking
It's all because of the economy and Iran war which go hand in hand.
Also just people's general hatred of the President.
Also, most Presidents in year 6 of 8 get throttled..George W Bush comes to mind.
I don't agree with Trump on everything and never have, just most things
That war was a mistake from the beginning
When going into a conflict you need clear goals and a clear end game
This has had neither.
I wouldn't be to quick on the trigger to call Texas a deep blue state yet
Shit Ohio went all blue as well. People are pissed at affordability and I don't blame them
2028 will be very interesting, no Trump on the ballot
If things go well or off a cliff the next 2 years who will People praise or blame?
To soon to tell

Presidential and midterm elections are apples and oranges
Obama lost 63 seats in 2010 and 6 senate seats and won in 2012

I don't think Trump will help the democrats agenda.
He isn't gonna sign a Medicare for all bill ngc3
But, there are some areas that both side will and should comprise on to better the country.

Now I am going to politely answer this.

I wish the dems luck. If they do well, the country does well  tmbz1
Will Trump work with them to make the country better considering his attitude of them from the past?
*
I expected conservatives to lose last night, but that was an ass kicking
* in sports it's called a rout!

It's all because of the economy and Iran war which go hand in hand.
*And the entire world is watching this evolve since the war started and is still going on today!

* Also just people's general hatred of the President.--'Hatred' is an ugly word!  Dislike, deep seated aversion are much better words to use!  Trump is his own 'worst enemy' and it took the American people 6 years of a Trump presidency to figure out (including many of the MAGA 'clan' and other on the fence republicans who finally reached their end with him and they gave him the benefit of the doubt until now).

Also, most Presidents in year 6 of 8 get throttled..George W Bush comes to mind.

I don't agree with Trump on everything and never have, just most things
That war was a mistake from the beginning
When going into a conflict you need clear goals and a clear end game
This has had neither.
* Trump caused this problem and his advisors and other high-ranking individuals 'twiddled their thumbs' and watched this happen!  They can blame each other over and over again, Trump led this and you see the end result!

I wouldn't be to quick on the trigger to call Texas a deep blue state yet
* A little common sense and it wouldn't have 'turned blue' at all.. Again, cause your own problems and see the results of what happened!

Shit Ohio went all blue as well. People are pissed at affordability and I don't blame them
* let's see what happens.

2028 will be very interesting, no Trump on the ballot
* and no already players ready to take the role from both parties.

If things go well or off a cliff the next 2 years who will People praise or blame?
* FYI, it's already fallen off a cliff.  The next question is can the mountain be climbed again to respectability at the very least and eventually to a country that can be a leader in the world today?

To soon to tell
* let's see what happens as time marches on.

Horseplop isn’t a popularity contest!!
