BREAKING: “I SHOULD HAVE WON 8 NOBEL PEACE PRIZES!” Trump goes BERSERK after losing to human rights champion – and warns Norway that America will NEVER FORGET!
Donald Trump has taken losing the Nobel Peace Prize about as gracefully as you might expect – unleashing a furious tirade against the woman who won it, attacking the Nobel Committee, and declaring the entire award permanently discredited because it didn't go to HIM.
And apparently, one Nobel Prize wouldn't have been enough to satisfy him.
“I should have won 8 Nobel Peace Prizes, not just 1,” Trump announced in an enormous Truth Social rant, claiming credit for settling eight wars.
The actual winner, 85-year-old South African human rights lawyer Navi Pillay, has spent decades defending political prisoners, fighting apartheid, and pursuing justice for victims of war crimes and genocide. Trump was unimpressed.
“I know nothing about this woman, and neither does anyone else!” he complained, inadvertently betraying his complete ignorance of world affairs.
“I don't know what the woman has done.”
Among other things, Pillay defended anti-apartheid activists in South Africa, served as the United Nations' top human rights official, and helped bring perpetrators of the Rwandan genocide to justice.
But Trump was just warming up. At a Friday campaign rally in Syracuse, New York, he called the Nobel decision an “indelible stain” on Norway and warned: “We will not forget, Norway.”
He later whined on Truth Social that the Nobel Peace Prize had been “forever discredited,” and denounced the people responsible as enemies of civilization.
Yes, he said that ...
But there's one rather embarrassing problem with Trump's threats against Norway: The independent Nobel Committee does. The Norwegian government doesn't have anything to do with it.
Its chairman, Jørgen Watne Frydnes, reaffirmed Saturday that the committee follows the criteria established by Alfred Nobel, honoring people who advance peace and international law.
Meanwhile, Pillay had already responded to her victory with a joke that brought down the house. “If you clap a little bit more, I may share this prize with Trump.”
Trump has spent two days demanding a prize he didn't win, insulting the woman who did, and threatening an entire country because the judges won't give him what he wants.
At this point, Norway might want to send him a participation trophy and a juice box.
Jeez, what an 80-year-old brat.
