More evidence harness racing is thriving
« on: Today at 09:28:52 AM »
East Rutherford, NJ – The rumors of harness racing’s demise at The Meadowlands are, apparently, sorely mistaken.

The New Meadowlands Racetrack, in conjunction with the Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey (SBOANJ), is pleased to announce a couple of new stakes races to its 2027 schedule to go along with purse increases to some of the other top events in the sport.

The biggest waves in the stakes waters are the ones that will be stirred up by the brand-new $1-million Meadowlands Trot, a 3-year-old open, and $500,000 Meadowlands Oaks Trot, for 3-year-old fillies.

The updated stakes program should ease any doubts that breeders or owners might have had about the future of the harness game in the State of New Jersey.

Forget thriving.

If they were operating with even the slightest amount of stability, they would have gone for the 3 year contract with JC.

This new stake is set for 2 years only cause if they don't get the casino by year 3, the track will be closed.

Dave little should be embarrassed for putting his name on that. Of course there are currebtly huge doubts about the casino even getting on the ballot and then approved by the voters.

Gurals casino confidence is complete BS. He knows that possibility is out of his control. Its a strategy he's using to keep games from leaving for KY.

Only morons like pacer2 take this release for face value
