Really hard to judge him based on this race alone. He beat up on a small field with an easy trip. Time was nice, but not overly impressive as $30/40 CD-types went faster in the race before his; as for fractions, his last half was 54.1 and Eastie Boy closed in 53 in the other eliminations. All that said, the horse is a magnificent specimen; built like a mature 3yo (no comments). He also has a really economical gait.
His win against Starstruck Hanover was a "barely" and he had the rail and Starstruck had the 8 on a 5/8 track, so still a lot to prove, just against Starstruck before he can be voted top 2 yo. Should have no trouble romping next week as the field is missing 3 or 4 of the other top 2yo. Breeders' Crown will show a lot more.
