Last night at Northfield Ahole had 5 drives and the total purse winnings were...drum roll please...$1600!!
I'm no fan of Amac but let's put the above into context. It was actually
6 drives and his odds were 103-1, 21-1, 44-1, 78-1, 12-1 and 35-1. Most with outside posts. Overall, not much chance, as reflected in the odds.
Now I'm going to turn this into a POLITICAL POST. When you put the above into context, it’s not nearly as bad as it initially sounded. Remember this the next time you see a Republican TV campaign ad talking smack about the other side without giving context. For example, Republicans love talking about how bad inflation was under Biden. What they fail to mention is that:
1. We were in the process of coming out of the COVID crisis.
2. There was massive federal stimulus spending (otherwise the economy would have really tanked).
3. Global supply chain issues, causing prices to rise.
4. Energy costs shot way up due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
5. The was a labor shortage and businesses had to pay higher wages.
Add this all up and it's surprising that inflation wasn't even higher than the 9% at it's peak.
In summary, all of the BS you are going to here between now and election day means absolutely nothing unless given context. The Democrats are not immune to this either but IMHO, not nearly as much as the Republicans.
