Shalom vs Starstruck---post 1 vs 8!

Shalom is on the list and Starstruck is not. Too bad. I am sure if Shalom goes to the Metro, then heads to Lexington for Bluegrass and the International, and then on to the Breeders Crown, some people will criticize Moore for over-racing him, being greedy, and/or being inept, LOL. Let's not forget, he's a vet. He's bald too. Overweight too, right? LOL.

Also has a mustache. Starstruck is probably eligible for the Final 4 race for 2 year olds at Meadowlands after the Breeders Crown.

I have no direct knowledge of what each of the connections have planned between now and then, but I would suspect if nothing goes wrong, the BC is the target for both. Put and "X" on the date of the BC and work backward. I did hear that Shalom is targeting the Metro, which seems like the obvious next target. Given Starstruck is not eligible, something at home or Lexington seems like the next stop or two on the road to the BC. Both very nice colts.

I think what might have been overlooked here-----even though it wasn't a real betting race/opportunity-----is that even with the outside post, and Shalom having the rail, Starstruck still went off the favorite. Sure, it was 1-2 vs. even money, LOL, but still the favorite. Post position was definitely a factor.

Moore has said the Metro is next for Shalom, and Noel hasn't said where he's going with Starstruck, but if nothing goes wrong, these two will meet again in the BC.
