"He should go to jail!" Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove calls for Pete Hegseth to be immediately impeached and prosecuted in a fiery call to action.
Judgment day is fast approaching for these fascist monsters...
"Do you think it's time to impeach Pete Hegseth?" reporter Pablo Manríquez asked her.
"Every day of the week it is time to do that!" she replied. "Every single day of the week. With this last bombshell that's dropped about the Secretary of Army resigning, there are no people, no civilians at the top who have the credibility and the support of our military."
Yesterday, Army Secretary Daniel P. Driscoll, the top civilian leader in that particular service branch, resigned after repeatedly clashing with Hegseth. The conflict between the two came to a head after the Defense Secretary ousted several highly experienced Army leaders in an ideologically motivated purge. Under MAGA, it doesn't matter if you're competent at keeping America safe. All that matters is your loyalty to the regime.
"The military need to know that they have someone looking out for them. That is not Pete Hegseth," said Kamlager-Dove. "This guy should be impeached and he should go to jail. And he can take all of his little exercise routines and his little sorry Fox News commentating failures with him."
The simple truth is that Hegseth should never have been given this job. He's an alcoholic, washed up talking head with a credible rape accusation who's obsessed with the superficial signifiers of masculinity rather than actual military competence. Worst of all, he's been one of the most vocal supporters of Trump's illegal, disastrous Iran War. The deaths of countless women and children are on his booze-stained hands.
When Democrats retake Congress and obtain subpoena power, we need to investigate every single incident of wrongdoing and suspected criminality connected to Hegseth. Once we've uncovered everything that he's done, it'll be time to prosecute to the full extent of the law.
