Lou brought huge Wall Street money to the table. Many investors for the first time in the industry. These were investors--doctors--lawyers--professionals folks into a new type opportunity. Heavily involved in SARATOGA STANDARDBREDS and John Signorelli as well as ALMAHURST FARMS and P.J. Baugh-----both fantastic gentlemen and wonderful humans! John in fact had a patent on the PVC pipe white picket fence and had SARATOGA listed for public trading. Jack Baugh did tens of millions of dollars in business in the ALMAHURST LP PROGRAMS of which Lou managed. These folks were strong financially and Lou brought this type into the business and then they brought their friends into the business. Lou even hired publicist to advertise and market the horses. They even created the song-----"NIHILATOR!' I believe I still have the tapes of the song.Lou did buy the EAGLES for $20 million----he had length the owner approximately $20 million to resolve some personal debt and used the EAGLES as collateral as per Lou. I assume that Lou eventually sold back---much more to the facts except I believe in letting these folks RIP. Either way Lou did own the EAGLES at one point. Lou made a fortune on car washes and a finance company in New Jersey many years after shining shoes in Jersey on the boardwalk at his dads barber shop.The lawsuit with Ms. Berger and Clint never should of occurred but it did and was resolved and Lou continued with his ownership group of Nihilator and the folks listed above were heavily involved as well Again, all these folks were great for this business.lou eventually opened a stable in Italy and was extremely successful with Jerry Riordan who trained horses for Lou for many years. In later years we attempted to buy the Italian Racing Stable that was very successful but came close but never closed i was so lucky to spend over 50 years as a very close friend to Lou and his wonderful family. They truly were all wonderful folks and it was folks like Mr. Guida that inspired many to attempt to revolutionize the sport!God, there will never be another era like the good old days!

And, let's not forget.....Ken Seeber turned trainer for Lou! LOL.
Can't say I specifically remember Vic. I didn't know Dr. Seeber very well. Like with virtually everyone else, just from being around the track and in the business for many years. The one assistant I do remember meeting and actually getting to know a bit-----and personally, I think he was perhaps Dr. Seeber's best protege who went on to be a top/leading vet-----had the initials SA.

Like I said, I didn't know him well. While he was a practicing vet, he was always based out of his farm/clinic so it's not like he was on track (at the Meadowlands, Red Mile, etc.) every day, but he was there a lot. He was a fixture at the sales and during the grand circuit. I did find it very interesting when he became a trainer. Many said it was a natural fit, but I didn't think so. You wake up one morning and now you can train, manage, campaign, etc., top stakes horses. Doesn't add up for me, LOL. But he did it.
