Following the fatal 2026 Central Park carriage incident, CBS identified him as an Equine Advocacy Alliance representative commenting on the industry’s safety record. He also testified before the New York City Council as a panelist invited by Speaker Julie Menin, describing himself as an experienced horseman and arguing that neither training nor additional regulation can eliminate a horse’s instinctive flight response in Manhattan.

You might be thinking of Nihilator's Woodrow Wilson or Meadowlands Pace. As a 2yo, IIRC, Nihilator raced uncoupled in the BC (and got beat by Dragon's Lair of course). As a 3yo, he was part of a two horse entry with Chairmanoftheboar d. They finished 1-2.

Guida entered FIVE HORSES in that Breeders Crown which was a two heat race. Three of them made the final and one was used a a sacrificial lamb to park Dragon's Lair to the quarter. Jeff Mallet had trained Dragon's Lair to go two heats so he still was able to win.
