Like you, I don't think I ever voted for a liberal. I did vote for Bill Clinton. A southern "Dixiecrat" as he was called in the south, I thought his moderate views were good for the country. My Dad, a retired NYPD Detective, Rest In Peace, was a big union supporter too! And a lifelong Democrat. He wouldn't recognize many aspects of what the his party has morphed into.
