Facts? How did he screw it up? Rural had the opportunity to keep it at the Big M and sign on for the next few years and would not agree, therefore it became open to other tracks. Those are the facts. Campbell did not force Gural to reject the Hambo!

The race should have a permanent home at Meadowlands while it's still open, but Gural shot himself in the foot by saying if he doesn't get a casino, he may have to close.

I believe it should have been extended for 1 year. The stipulation being it was a one time deal. 46 years is a long partnership. It doesn't look like the Hambletonian Society valued it.

At the very least until the NJ referendum possibility gets decided by next year. After almost 5 decades the Hambletonian Society could have extended a courtesy for 1 year as the Meadowlands has carried the load of harness racing interest and that CANNOT be debated because it is 100% fact!
