Lets discuss 16 inch,NO-GLOVE softball,a sport JOHN FRANK ARMY participated in for 21 years. 18-39,until he decided to hang um up.

GREATEST time of me life. Mainly a CHICAGO And area sport,but branched out to WISCONSIN,ARIZONA,INDIANA,IOWA,CALIFORNIAA. And some of the greatest,most durable individuals that ever lived. And the TOUGHFEST,meanest in thee world. And most played 200 games a year. We know CRY we need a day off,or travel is so strenuios. And most got loaded every night after games or durin days hittin their SPONSERS BARS. It like the BILLY MARTIN,MICKEY MANTLE,WHITEY FORD,days.

All who played know what a great sport it be. CUT=THROAT. And a 16 inch softball be hard as a rock. I was a pitcher and patterned meself after the greatest,MIKE TALLO. He be also a talented fielder who made it to triple A as a third baseman in the CARDINALS organization. I adopted his style. It was drag pitch and high arch and then fastly back up to towards second to become another fielder. And every pitch I could drop the ball anywhere I wanted for a strike. And I would study especially the great hitters to know where they liked to hit. That was a great advantage. Reminded me at times of the ARMY. Everyone did nuttin but swear when they spoke or yelled.
Back in days at these tournaments,one could have crowds of 2,000 watching the games. TOOOOO BEEEEEE continued.......
