I agree. Mike's crusade is good for the horse in general. Can he do things differently? Maybe. But the horse carriage industry is part of a powerful union. What they should do is put the matter to the voters. Let NYC voters decide if the treatment of these horses are cruel and unfair. My humble opinion is that Mikes side would win handily in a referendum.
