Diamond Creek Farm and Lindy Farms also have their driver's wear their stable colors.
A few owners or trainers insist on their driver change out of regular driver colors and put on different colors. In other words, wearing someone else's clothes. Do they think the changed colors are going to make a difference in performance? USTA should require driver colors to be consistently worn as selected by the driver and not changed by a few owners or trainers. Very confusing for the fans.
I guess it's up to the owners but it looks ridiculous. The ones who do it are obviously very rich so it's like a trophy to them.
Melander does ithe had YG wear the stable colors this year and had TT do it in previous yearsit happens and the drivers have no say in it
They should be willing to accommodate the request of the owner, they pay the bills. In Flats racing, the jocks change silks EVERY RACE.
And the owners have to pay for the silks too!
