New data reveals Trump's social media platform has seen traffic collapse by roughly 36% year-over-year, according to Similarweb, an online traffic tracking firm cited by the New York Times. Monthly visitors dropped from an average of 28 million in the first seven months of 2025 to just 25 million during the same stretch this year — even as competitors like X and Threads posted HIGHER visitor numbers over the same period.
Howard Polskin, who's tracked right-wing media traffic for years, couldn't hide his shock: "When you think of how much Trump uses Truth Social as a megaphone you would think the numbers would be skyrocketing." Instead, they're cratering.
This comes at a brutal moment for Trump Media, which just reported a staggering $406 million net loss in the first quarter, while generating a mere $871,000 in actual revenue — mostly from Truth Social advertising. Let that ratio sink in: nearly half a billion dollars lost, less than a million dollars earned.
Desperate to squeeze profit out of a sinking platform, Trump Media recently launched a premium service selling Wall Street traders early access to Trump's posts for up to $100,000 a month — essentially monetizing insider-style trading advantages tied to presidential announcements. So far, only ten firms have bothered to sign up.
The stock has cratered nearly 80% since going public in 2024. The company employs roughly three dozen people and has posted losses every single quarter since launch. Its former CEO, ex-Congressman Devin Nunes, was already pushed out amid the chaos.
This is the platform Trump insists is essential to American discourse, where he announces wars, tariffs, and attacks on judges and journalists. Turns out, even his own supporters are increasingly choosing to look elsewhere. It couldn’t happen to a more deserving person.
