CT Scan would have found it early!
Wonder if that means we get eliminations after all as some lesser horses give it a go seeing BJ is out and Mamba is not unbeatable
"Yes, an equine lung infection can absolutely be undetectable during the early or subclinical stages. Because horses possess massive respiratory reserves, they often mask symptoms until the disease is advanced. In many cases, mild or stealth infections only become obvious during peak athletic exertion." -Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine"Yes, an early-stage lung infection—often falling under the umbrella of Equine Asthma (formerly Inflammatory Airway Disease) or mild pneumonia—will negatively affect a Standardbred's running performance. Even in the early stages, it significantly impairs their racing ability."- Harrisonburg Animal Hospital
Good work!Thanks!!
Why is there always an underlying reason when a horse gets beat? Could it be he is just not as great as was hyped and stud value is the issue going forward? They will NEVER reveal the truth when millions are on the line. What if they say in 2 months he is just 'not the same horse' so we plan on retiring him to stud. He had 3 races and lost all 3 so NOW they check him out before the another big time race coming up?
