Are the drivers here enthralled by racing in the 6,7,8,9 paths down to the wire here?  The Pepsi north american cup included.

Race 9 tonight, the 1 horse is in the 6 path approaching the wire!

Is the footing better there?

Sometimes horses drift in order to keep forward momentum the driver will let them drift.  Another thing sometimes a horse that doesn't like to pass if they drift to far out they may get by on accident.  More than likely though my first example is the reason 7 out of 10 times

Mostly it's the buddy- buddy system so they let their friends up the rail.
