Pacer 2 Imbecile #3 and Antagonist #1 on plop.

Pacer 2 and his misfit pals are not even raking in any of this cash, so when they're not jealous which they hide these bottom feeders say stupid sh!t.  Broke ass bitches.  Gets them through each day  ngc3

Kenny and the rest of the thinking racing enthusiast is correct.

Govt's subsidy and casino decoupling needs to happen all over NA.

Let racing stand on it's own 2 proverbial feet.

If they can't fix the drugs and corruption, obviously the regulatory is F'd up and law enforcement is only a part time thing, so that too, it made the gamblers flee, continue to do so, then it's over.

It's moot already.

No one is saying they don't have a handful of cards like this. We'll all watch and enjoy.
Otherwise insignificant for the most part. Minimal race cards. Too many driver options for more $$

Gural and his shit management decimated these stakes.
The Pace used to go for a million.
The Haughton over 600k
Etc etc.
Place went straight straight down the toilet. Next up, hambletonian gone

Didn't the pace purse depend on nominations, stakes payments, continuing payments, starting fees?

The race has always varied in purses over the years.

The purse was $1,000,000 for a long time until 2012, after that it's been between $635,000 & $778,000. There was some additional funding for 2026 from somewhere and this year's purse will be around $800,000.

If you go state to state and Ontario, there are only a handful of great horses.  A bunch of very good ones though.  It seems only the rich keep on staking while the poor don't.  This doesn't help the final purse on race day.
