Suspension handed down CONDUCT DETRIMENTAL TO THE BEST INTEREST OF HORSE RACINGPer DHRC rule 5.1.27.2 Pat Berry is issued a $3000.00 fine, a 6 month driving suspension that includes driving in qualifiers and no access to the paddock. 3 months of the suspension are held in abeyance pending Pat Berrys completion of an approved anger management course. After the 3 month suspension Pat Berry will be on probation for 6 months. This penalty is issued for the actions of Pat Berry during the stretch drive of the 7thn race on June 17, 2026, when Pat Berry struck another driver with the whip. Full DHRC order of suspension is available through the DHRC. Pat Berry will be eligible to drive on Sept 20, 2026
Where will he be until then?Ocean Downs? Closest landing?
He won't be driving anywhere but his wife Tracy whose listed as trainer for their horses and has been for years is using other drivers on their horses but alot of them are resting right now.
Do you think Berry's suspension will be noted tomorrow on the USTA fines and suspension's?
