JW, formerly known as JWR, is an excellent race caller and a very nice guy.  He always seems to have a lot on his plate with horses, golf, music and hockey among other projects.  I like his creative "quirkyness" for the most part.  The main exception being his insistance on calling the markers where the rail used to be "pegs."  I'd enjoy hearing him someplace full time.    tmbz1

JWR..Good announcer if he would just announce. But he over does it from time to time. Little quirky is being nice. But he's a nice guy. He had the perfect gig at Chester. Wonder what happen?

Problem is he has a lot of other tuff going on and I don't think he could commit year-round with just a couple months off.

Josh was showboating at Vernon against drivers like Joe Nassimos, to compare him to JB is ludicrous.

Used to play in a Jazz band. Not sure if he still does. Plus has his own production company 412 communications.

Always said to take away the  11.wp.

Point and case right there. Nit only do they brutalized the horse now they're stupid enough to use it on each other.

Watched the replay. Clear as day that Berry whipped very wide so that he would hit Polisino first.

Lengthy suspension coming up for Berry

Berry was just pissed Poliseno hung the whole mile still went by him. Looks like he got him on the shoulder and maybe arm. But it was blatant as he never touched the horse until he knew Poliseno was going by!

That's a 30-day vacation in my book. But nothing will come from it because it's Berry. Now if it was the other way around. They crucified Poliseno!

Isn’t Pat Berry left-handed? Certainly had the whip in his left hand until at least the last turn. Switching to the right hand in the stretch adds premeditation to motive. Thank you, the prosecution rests its case.

Yes he is lefty. And if memory serves me right  is this not his second offense for whipping another driver ?

Not sure if it is true or not, but when Pat started out driving in IL. the story was that while attending Harvard he pitched baseball both left and right handed.
Thats Harvard IL. high school.

  • Ignorance Is Bliss: Right. Broke down start before we bought him. Trailered off the track. Was left in the back of a barn at a farm in New Paltz. I did what I do win his first start with me in the basement. Two starts later beat the 10s. Eric Warner needs him to fill the Open, my owner was already building his paddock to retire him. Which we did and he's been there since. Piss you off because you never owned one?
