It is posts like this which make me even more motivated to continue to push elected representatives to eliminate the handouts to racing. I would prefer to money go to fix roads, bridges, or schools that to people like you.

I can't blame them Kenny they're weak and old and have failed and resigned themselves to take the easy, crooked road so they can eat.

You fight the good fight.

We're with you too.

More and more time will allow and we'll create a big magnifying glass, spotlight this and rid ourselves of greed empty suit politician frauds and make their constituents either change or replace them and follow the corruption trail reporting in real time.

We need to get the media involved so they can all be observed and shamed simultaneously!

Fight brother and we'll cause some of the cheats and abusers pain and sleepless nights - until all of them  - FIGHT!  ;D

Not caring that the money doesn't come from your own industry is a very popular take in harness racing.

That is the attitude that will eventually lead to the failure

fellas
in the past i have cared a lot , likely too much , tried to help save and resurrect a sport that either doesn't want to be saved or cant get out of its own way
so i downsized and now just go with the flow and enjoy myself
if it ended tomorrow well so be it
for the last 20 years people have predicted the demise of harness racing and  yet here it is

as i have said before i wish wagering was much stronger but the industry cannot figure that out
and of course i wish the playing field was level and fair for everyone racing but we know its not

A sentiment shared by many I suspect. It's just so sad and frustrating that with all the people in the game we couldn't figure out how to survive and change with the times. I'm with you, whatever I have left will race and no more and my handle is a pittance to what it was.

  • Sweet: Click on "My Messages", if you send someone a message click the box - "Save a copy in my outbox" and that will remain in your "Sent" folder.  No "Draft" feature but you could just send yourself what yo want to save like a book.
