Andrew Harris  the biggest fraud in Harness Racing for sure.   Barn full of horses bought for somewhere around 250k and 1 million,   And the majority of them can’t make a face like a horse .      I don’t ever remember seeing a trainer do such a lousy job ,  and when he finally does win a race he gets in the winner’s circle with a gigantic smile.  But then again if I was him I’d be smiling to .

2nd place in the Harness Racing fraud contest goes to Tony Alagna, you don’t hear as much about him recently because he’s buried his owners for so many millions of dollars that a lot of them have run for the hills.   Before Harris he was in a class by himself of six figure yearling purchases that never made the races. The trotter Maverick for 1.1 million was a joke ,  wouldn’t have been competitive in a Trackmaster 68

Biggest fraud? NO! Very nice kid and first wife died at young age from cancer. He has loyal owners that want to invest heavily in the business and really don’t care how much money they lose. They just want good horses. He runs a first class stable. Casie now involved in the operation I think you will see better results.

Good point about the wife that was horrible and he might be a nice guy but the job he’s doing with that stable is embarrassing to say the least.  But like you say , it seems like the owners don’t care

He's been listed as part owner of most of the horses, but I wonder if the other guys gave him his share for free.

Andrew tripped over the lottery ticket, good for him. All the guys before him suffered the same fate, believe me I had a front row seat to all of them. Fred Grant, Monte Gelrod, The jewish trainer of trotter who may have fleeced tens of millions. Apart from ronnie who's running god knows what through them, every trainer with stupid money always finds a way to separate it from his owners over time. the only distinction being how long they get to stay in the game.

I today's world buying horses for big money, the landscape has changed dramatically! In addition to getting xrays, the buyer MUST spring for a complete blood analysis. If the seller says no then the buying party must walk away!
