To bitter truth: you said the horse wouldn't pay anything to place. Paid $4.20 and over six dollars to win. You said the horse would go off at 3/2 if that. Wrong chump.

That estimate was figuring you were going to bet $100-$100. I would have been pretty damn close
if you had actually bet that, which I seriously doubt. Rainman [not my fave either] made a valid point.
Same one I made. You are betting against yourself to bet that much at that track. Who wants or needs
your mind bets anyway? GSAC

Why don't you rainman on my cock!

I just made a polite, astute observation. Nothing more and nothing less.
Why do you have to bring up sexual inferences on a racing comment?

Thank you for noticing a valid observation I made.  tmbz1
We can agree to disagree on politics and racing and still respect one another without the vile and sexual overtones!

Why is everyone bagging on my Running Aces bet from last night? I gave you  $ 6.60 horse and you're bagging me. Next time I'll keep it to myself. You heathens
Congrats GOAT on that bet. Keep those winners coming!

Thanks Dougie. Rainman seems to be sceptical.

GOAT, i'm a results oriented type of guy. You make a bet. If you win and collect, it's always a good thing. LOL!

I'm pretty sure I saw GOAT's wager go in.

I wasn't looking out for it, just curious when the money hits there, really last minute.

I think it went in 3-4 min before the gate swung.

The 4 went up like disproportionatel y on the win and palce and were near equal, 2-300 in the pool.

The balance of the money hits late, good thing he didn't put it early.

Would of been under even money for a long while.

Before the race it was clear if his horse won he'd do well on place too.

Why, because it was a 6 horse field with 4 horses bet, from 9-5 - 7/2.

GOAT doesn't tout a lot so he did and it scored, why discourage him for doing it again.

Passing lane  tmbz1 Great job GOAT  ;D

Skeptical--probably.  I can admit to that quite honestly!

However, there were better ways to invest that $ 200 to make more money besides the win-place bet.  Maybe 50-50 and spreading the other $100 on exactas and trifectas.

I bet a horse at Tioga from the 9 hole at long odds last year!  Again, not a lot of money in the pool.  Any 'big bet'  [$100] would have resulted in a much lower payout on the amount being bet and stepping on my own $$$.  The more you bet on this type of ticket, the lower the payouts and ROI and increased risk.  FYI, the horse won and paid $ 49.

You're betting into small track pools, not major tracks/Kentucky derby pools!
