I don't know how you live in that heat during the summer months in southern Florida
Snowbirding is my wife and I's plan after we retire.
I dont mind a little bit of winter weather, and I enjoy the change of seasons, but 4 months of never seeing the the sun come out gets to be a little much ngc3
Our plan is to leave after New Year's and come back to Ohio mid February.
Some years Florida, others Arizona or SoCal..and a few in the Virgin Islands.
My wife's cousin owns alot of rentals in St John. ;D
JT, I lived in South Florida 32 years before I retired back up north to be closer to family. To be truthful, it's a great place to live. Outside of the ocean, where the tourists love to flock, the restaurants and people are just great. We used to go hang in South Beach, or have lunch at Versailles in Little Havana and enjoy all the culture and fun of in that great area. Ft. Laudersale up into Palm Beach County is just great. I'm not a Disney fan (to crowded) but International Drive is pretty amazing. And while the heat is an issue for most who live there, everyplace has ac so it's always cool!
