He’s a fckin idiot. Drove my ex horse Sonny black like a moron. Stays on the rail he’s first or second Horse has only one eye. He knew that
Good first trip to Plainridge of the season yesterday.Good weather (for April), good crowd (for a Tuesday), and good prices in 40% of the races.
What do you consider a good crowd? (Not being a dick, I'm actually curious). 100 people? 500?For the quality of racing the handle is non-existent.
Almost all harness tracks have no fans watching at the track. And every year it gets less and less as the fans die off.
That's great to hear.BTW one of my biggest pet peeves.."and the live racing PA and audio for the Derby telecast were insufficient for the crowd"Drives me insane. You have an apron full of people watching your live racing, and a lot of newbies, and you can't hear anything. That's inexcusable.
We attended the live racing and Derby festivities at Plainridge on Saturday, and it was the best day we've ever had at a harness track. The crowd was big (we heard estimates of 4,000), track management and staff went above and beyond to create a festive and fun atmosphere, good food and drink options were plentiful, and live harness racing was provided the platform it deserves. There are a couple areas of improvement (the in-person betting lines were long and time-consuming, and the live racing PA and audio for the Derby telecast were insufficient for the crowd), but overall it was a great showcase for the track and the sport.
