All school systems should follow this model
« on: February 17, 2026, 12:39:03 PM »
What a great path to improving kids education:

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/mississippis-school-miracle-shames-failing-chicago-leaders-education

Reading, writing and arithmetic skills over social studies.
Get kids to school every day.
Allow private money to develop infrastructure that serves children that need it the most.

Unfortunately, we have people in political office who flunked social studies in school (civics) and have no clue what they’re doing while in office.

FYI, I didn’t mention names/political parties.

From HARVARD study  .....

I don't give a shit if they are red or blue states.   Kids need to be taught the basics to move ahead.
If you can't read, write and do arithmetic, you can't excel in your studies, including the all important sciences.

It seems you missed my social studies/civics post!

FYI, you need the social studies/civics part, so you understand the process of how democracy works!  What do you see today with this?  Politicians, cabinet members, et al. don't even understand/care about the process!  SAD, ISN'T IT!

What a waste of time.   All these politicians forget any lessons learned when $$$ become the goal of their time in office.    What has done you more benefit in life, your civics lessons or your ability to read, write and do math?
Be honest.

Tigger, I have you on ignore, but I still see when you post something.   Which is about every 30 seconds.

Do you really have to insert yourself into every conversation on the site.
You hate Trump, but I think you're a bigger narcissist than he is.
