I saw a post on Facebook by Bier complaining about him and his wife losing their livelihood due to suspension. Nick posted a reply so he must have some type of privileges.

Bier crying because they got caught cheating?  Priceless!   ngc3

He served his time, deserves a second chance (maybe not in racing)

Letting him in racing would be like letting a pedophile work at a day care.  He has every right to make a living elsewhere.   tmbz1

"How trainers responsible and a judges opinion took our livelihood away.

Last year we had horse win and test positive for methamphetamine at chester under Sean Bier as trainer. Two months later a horse tested positive for methamphetamine and won at dover under Crissy Crissman-Bier as trainer .We also had an employee test positive for methamphetamine on himself at dover which was good for our case that we didnt give any horses methamphetamine.
Because of trainer responsibility rules we still got punished.  Sean and Crissy both received 10 days and a $6000 fine .

October Crissy Crissman-Bier is notified that she has a positive test on 3- hydroxy lidocaine with is a metabolyte of lidocaine.  Which means lidocaine was administered and is leaving the blood system. IT HAS NO PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENT EFFECTS WHAT SO EVER .It was 123 picograms.( A PICOGRAM IS EQUIVALENT TO 1 TRILLIONTH OF A GRAM ) Such horse ( Levi Sonic )  kicked threw a water bucket and Dr Amy Franklin performed surgery on his foot and obviously administered lidocaine. Little over 3 weeks later Levi Sonic won and came up positive for ( 3- hydroxy lidocaine)  the judges said it shouldn't have still been in his system. I'm not god so I dont know why its still in his system but I know absolutely no one is treating racehorses with lidocaine.

Anyway. The judge at dover and harrington made a decision to take our livelihood away and give both Crissy Crissman-Bier and Sean Bier 2 years and a $4500 fine each. HE said if we appeal he is writing  it up for 2 1/2 years  No stay was granted and no mitigating circumstances were even considered when handing down the judgment.

So we appealed in all hopes to get the penalty reduced.  I understand trainer responsible but to end our careers over things we did not do is very heartbreaking. Our daughter chloe loves the horses and loves going to the Paddock and now she has to suffer also which rips my heart out.

I just wanted to let all horseman know our situation and just pray it doesn't happen to you."

Walter Case Jr. definitely set the highest bar, yet he raced again, right?

In a way that almost seemed worse than punishment.
