If the IRB shut down Hawthorne they would screw their self out of a job, so they will allow Hawthorne to continue their shit show
in reality, Fairmount is still in business, so saying the IRB would screw themselves out of a job is wholly inaccurate. I'm in a good mood so we'll just chalk this up as an oversight/blowing off steam bc you're frustrated.
What the IRB should do is allow independent OTBs statewide, with each one located in a town that allows slots to have:
Races
Sports betting
Machines
Waive the 35 mile exclusion rule Hawthorne has so a new track can be built bear the city.
Ask Fairmount if they're willing to race harness dates before/after their thoroughbred meet
