Trigger's Wagering Day 2 $500 - Sunday, 1/4/26

Off to a chilly start with the first 3 races yesterday, invested $1k and got back $150, at a loss of $850.

I'm going to pursue two races today, if all the key horses are scratched the race might be too.

Oaklawn Park, Race 9 (455pm) - 3,4,7

Santa Anita, Race 6 (543pm) - 2/ALL, 5/2/ALL

Both tracks look fast.

This today would make it races 5 / 50 for the year.  With the slower start of the handicapping sucking I dropped my wagering to $250 per race today.  This is ok, because if I like horses running and feel real confident in bigger races over the year I can bet more on them.  As long as I stick to 50 races and a $25k budget for 2026 (I will do!  ) it will of course avg out $500 per race avg.

I didn't get the memo lol, I just saw that today was cancelled.  Fucking Equibase doesn't take down entries, I saw it in their scratches and changes section.  My focus yesterday was 1 Mohawk race, an 2 Oaklawn Park, oblivious to everything else.

One I start doing the next 3 we'll see if I can win at this thing! 

Point of this new order was for me to even take longer to formulate opportunities, like a week avg for a race.

Build a stable, and await the right opportunities.

Do a lot of homework.

That is exactly the opposite of my gambling.

Sports are $10-$20 bets. Today was poor because Man City )ML -190) gave up the tying (losing) goal in the 94th minute.

My horse betting is either $1-$5 a race or ~$150-$200 for a carryover pick-5. THEN, I spend hours and hours on it. But I'm losing interest in that too.

I also bet a lot against a friend. We watch Sky 1  and bet every single race while on the phone.
