He may win buy he will get the boot at Northfield just like all the other places. It's coming sooner or later.
I said same thing to my dad. How long before the current driver colony says hello no.

What the hell are you talking about? He’s won multiple driving titles at tracks in Ohio.  I don’t know the exact number but I’m thinking he’s close to 10000 wins

I would guess he's around 8500 wins. I won't speak to what he's doing as a driver, but horses from "his" barn, if he keeps doing what he was doing, it's only a matter of time. People get sick and tired of being sick and tired.

So he is in his mid lower to mid 40s. Let's say he started driving at 18yrs old. If he has been driving for 23 yrs and has 9000 wins. That's under 400 wins per yr.

400 wins per a yr  for 23 yrs

Now after 23 yrs he wins 10 a night.  Seem interesting to me. Maybe he is clean and legit. But usually if it looks like a duck and walks like a duck. It's usually a duck.
Maybe there is something  nefarious. Maybe there isn't.
I hope he banks enough cash to take with him when no place will let him in.  Usually northfield are people's last chance.

  • dougie: IIB, I think the mayor will sign the bill if it reaches his desk. The optics on this issue is bad for the horse carriage industry. Animal activists are adept to using the media to enlist horror and anger by the public.

  • Ignorance Is Bliss: It's now a bill with city council. Public hearings will be scheduled then the council votes on it. If passed it's sent to the Mayor to sign into law. He has already said he's in. Marte just took over, Bob Holden is the actual author of the bill who retired last year.

  • dougie: IIB, I have been reading some of the work Councilman Marte has been doing on this issue. I think he might be successful with passing the 'Ryders Law" Bill this time around. The image of the horse dead on the street has even been seen here everywhere. If the animal activists can get this on the ballot, who knows how the vote will go.
