Sovereignty to race in 2026
« on: December 28, 2025, 09:13:07 AM »
https://www.drf.com/news/sovereignty-will-race-2026-godolphin-says

please excuse me for not posting this 5 days ago

considering Journalism was way over hyped and over-rated--and  incorrectly lauded by the pom pom waving California media.....just how good is Sovereignty?

The Cali media handed Journalism the Ky Derby and he lost

He was predicted  by many "experts" to beat Sovereignty in The Belmont and lost

then he avoided Sovereignty and raced in The Pacific Classic and lost

and of course..this "great" horse was off the board in The Breeders Cup Classic

just how good will Sovereignty be in 2026 if Journalism was his main foe?

It's easy to overhype a horse who's been running strictly in California because of lack of competition. With no other tracks around, unless there's a real monster, until he faces the other top horses back east, you have no idea how he measures up.

exactly my point

the California media did the same with Zenyatta and California Chrome--time to retire the pom poms

they did the same with JO Tobin in the 70s and also Flying Pastor

they should be ashamed of themselves

Saudi Cup, Dubai, our boy has $17,000,000 to bank back at home before he starts destroying everything in his sight in the USA!

Al-Quaeda, ISIL, and now a 4 YO Sovereignty!  ;D

The California media has been overhyping Baffert's horses forever because they hang on his every word, and he tells them how great he thinks his horses are, so even though Journalism wasn't his horse, this is par for the course for the California media. After Arrogate won his first few starts, Baffert said he's the greatest horse since Secretariat, he never won another race after that.

I agree about the Cali media...

but Arrogate won the 2016 Travers Stakes in a record time in his first stakes appearance. He won the Breeders' Cup Classic and was named the American Champion Three-Year-Old Male Horse and World's Best Racehorse of 2016. As a four-year old, Arrogate won the 2017 Pegasus World Cup and the Dubai World Cup.

I think my timing is way off, Baffert probably made that comment after he won the Saudi Cup, because I know he never won another race after he made that comment.

Your predictions are almost as bad as John Frank's football picks and they're pretty bad, probably why you like him.

Here's a prediction that's a lock, you'll lose thousands with your expert handicapping in 2026, maybe even more than the the 25K you claim to have lost this year. Why you bother making such a big production by posting them to show everyone what a bad handicapper you are is beyond me, maybe it makes you feel important because you have nothing going for you in real life.

I think continuing to race is a good for on track attendance with the "Fans" of these type of horses. I would like to see this carry-on in the harness game. Don't tell me how tough and sound a sire was, let's see for our selves by extending their racing careers!
