Mark is a lightning rod, positive and negative. On one hand, the guy is an accomplished trainer, training center owner, and "leader" in the sport/industry. OTOH, he's also been criticized, actually, let's be more clear-----he's been vilified, here, on this forum-----for: a) killing a horse, or horses, and burying them on his property; b) an environmental issue/violation(s) at his training center; c) having questionable/cheating/dishonest trainers as tenants at his training center; d) employing a cheating/dishonest trainer; e) being fat; and what else?

Apparently, the vilification isn't industry/sport-wide. It appears that in a much larger community, in NJ, the people who are actually in the sport/industry, who are participants, have actually elected/re-elected him, how many times? He's been President a long time, and has been on the Board even longer. I remember when Obama had a stretch where his popularity/numbers dropped, and some little kid asked him why everyone hated him so much. Obama said it wasn't everyone hated him, and that there had to be a lot of people who liked him, supported, him, etc.-----because he won the election, twice! LOL.

Nobody’s actually seen Mark kill a horse like I’ve said 1000 times when you have over 400 head of horses on your farm and one parishes what are you supposed to do? I don't know that I get it as much as apparently I see it very differently than some other people. If it's not obvious to everyone, then shame on them, but everyone should know that a person with a personal hard-on, vendetta, or whatever you want to call it, is obviously not going to be objective. Period. If you've had direct dealings with Mark Ford, or anyone for that matter, great, then let's hear it. If not, then it's nothing more than rumor, innuendo, or BS. If you have a problem with his selection/approval of tenants, I get that. You're not only entitled to that, but perhaps there's some validity to it. Same with who he used as a trainer. I get that too. I see this as very selective condemnation, and it's certainly personal.
