Thanks pal. It’s frustrating for sure. I don’t want to create more problems for myself and give her more reason to scratch my horses or put them on the list, so I’ve stayed quiet for the most part other than a couple confrontations with her. I know she has a tough job to do and I respect that, but many many people have seen it, the amount of horses of mine that get scratched or put on the list is hard to believe, when we all watch much lamer horses race every week that don’t get scratched or put on the list.

We all get that, at one time or another to be A+ and get a wrongful "F", as adults.

Quite frankly, sounds like you're being targeted, and she might be the proverbial bullet and not the one pulling the trigger.

Maybe it's impossible to be success driven in a game like this and be honest too.

Whichever elected leadership that represents you where you live, work there too be in touch with them for a sit down.

Elected officials may not be the lower administrative answer but they are at the top, they typically can fire and hire / appoint the one(s) who run that AGCO like the Ministry Attorney General.

You're an important somebody and the people that work for you, your owners and your family can't have anyone ruining your life and business undeserving.  Get your politician, and an attorney and have a quiet conversation and put this to bed already.

You have nothing reasonable and credible to fear.

Then you'll be invisible, you will not be fucked with.

His complaint was the punishments weren't coming down uniformly, that other trainers at Mohawk who had horses that were conspicuously lame, much worst shape than his were allowed to race, and the standard he was being held too there wasn't happening at the BigM.

No horses unwell, or questionable should be put at risk.  We domesticated them, we need to look out for them.

Trigger, i think you view things with eyes wide open..but taking Auciello at his word, without him providing evidence is well,,hhmmm...problematic............all we have here is whataboutism

More than one person I know up there says Carmen is a nice guy but his training methods leave a lot to be desired. In fairness just about every horse Per touches improves leaps and bounds. I suspect it's a little both, an over zealous Vet and a trainer that sends suspect horses to race when maybe they should have a little time off.

You want evidence / I want that evidence taken to the powers that be.

I like our diverse interrogation techniques.

I don't think there's a good cop in the room.

Last night had nothing to do with me lol. Hennessy was filling in as vet. Flight Crew didn’t race great but wasn’t horrible for the conditions. The claimant noticed a trickle of blood in one nostril, likely just a broken blood vessel or something, and low key started freaking out, calling for the commission vet and the judges to reverse the claim, he should get his money back blah blah blah. The horse drank two buckets of water and wasn’t in any distress at all. The claim cannot be reversed. We have new rules coming into place next year that might have reversed the claim in this case, but that’s not til February of 2026. As of right now, a horse could drop dead in the race and it is yours. I’m somewhat a fan of the new rules coming in, but as of right now, the claimant has to take this horse home. He kept causing a stink and earned himself a long term vets list for bleeding and has to qualify. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. I guess Hennessy did scope her afterwards and she showed a bunch of mucous with a tiny bit of blood. Consistent with being a bit sick, which is how she raced.

In all fairness, Per improves off just about everyone. Quite often I claim horses and improve off others also, and they don’t necessarily improve once I lose them. I’m no different than anybody else. Some horses succeed on my program and some don’t. But if you watch enough races up here, I rarely have horses going out that are crippled and with big head nods. But if one races poorly and gets beat 15 lengths, mine are constantly getting put on the list for no reason. She’ll find something “oh he’s lame
Left hind” on a horse that has never been lame in its life and even after the driver tells her he isn’t lame, just raced like shit.  Then in that case, they get put on for being sick, without showing any signs of being sick. Is it right for a vet to just speculate that a horse is sick just because it got beat 15 lengths? They don’t scope it or pull blood or even look at it for more than 20 seconds. Couldn’t there be other reasons? Could the horse have shut its air off, or maybe got driven like an idiot and got tired? Obviously like anybody else, I have the odd one that hurts itself in a race. It happens, and obviously those are justified. But I’ve had wayyyy more horses scratched and/or put on the list than any other trainer up here in the last 10 years, and it’s not because I am trying to race lame horses that shouldn’t be racing.

Appreciation & gratitude for your very detailed, chronological and forensic explanation.  Tough game, having unnecessary obstacles is beyond frustrating.  If they are discriminatory, sounds like it, it's just not sustainable.  I'm learning a lot - we all are - thanks buddy!

Gimme a break ... you put lamers on the track again and again and no one is supposed to notice or care?
And this ludicrous idea that taking up the hobbles is somehow a health cure is a bad bad joke.

Oh I'm sorry, the horses aren't lame, they're just bad gaited. I forgot.

tmbz1 See Calhoun' answer - makes sense, and confer with vets, I'm just a gambler that's appreciative a trainer actually comes on here not under the veil of anonymity and y'all want to chase him away  ngc3
