The Stable get a Walner colt out of Hannelore Hanover for 27000. How many legs did it have.

Knowing that moron, he probably thought it was a filly. Or maybe it was his wife's top pick. Or it fit a bucket perfectly. He is without question the most obnoxious guy in the game.

After I saw the price and then saw Anthony bought it I couldn’t help myself I had to watch the video. Same ol shi$, it’s really mind boggling that he thinks he got a steal, it didn’t have to look great for Burke to throw $30k and take a shot but he didn’t so there is. I way I would be rooting my horn like he does.  In fact if I liked the colt and the bud was stalling at $25k I’d quit bidding.  You are correct he is as obnoxious as they come, but how stupid are these people that keep believing this crap. Keep Sri king the kool aid.

Anything below the very top tier is weak. What used to be the middle market is very weak. There is a lot of value in the 25k to 50k market, even up to say 75k. A lot of horses selling for 100k now used to sell for 150k, even more. There are some smart buyers out there. Some of the commercial breeders are getting stung a bit. You simply can't sell a yearling for $25k and make money.

what a blood bath, indicative of how weak the game really is. Owners simply getting destroyed for too long and eventually say enough is enough.

the big owners with money only want the best and will pay for it , even if that does not lead to success on the track or financially, they are not in it to do "okay", they want champions, so they avoid most of the ones that are going for under $100k which creates a vacum and those horses sell for $50 k which is a decent deal for the buyers

as for the stable and Hannelore hanover foal( and others) ,he buys the ones that his  pigeons will recognize and buy up and pay the training bill and if amac gets lucky than so be it,  if not than move on

They'll paint a pretty picture on today's results, something like it was up over last year, but today's numbers were again not good. Today's average was under $17k. The average only tells you so much, and while it's more accurate on a day like today as opposed to day one, if you really want to see raw #'s, look at the median, and also take out the top few sellers (which distort the #'s). No breeder is making money selling $17k yearlings.

The yearling portion of the Standardbred Horse Sale overall for its three days saw 864 yearlings pass through the auction ring for a total of $36.03 million, an average of $41,701. Last year, the sale totaled almost $37.1 million, an average of $42,830. Compared to 2024, this year was down 2.86 percent in gross and 2.63 percent in average, but the average rebounded significantly after being down nearly 13.2 percent after the opening session on Monday. The third session this year totaled $5.43 million for 323 yearlings, an average of $16,830. Last year’s third session totaled $5.56 million for 337 yearlings, an average of $16,499.

If you're in the game, you understand how bad the game is outside of kentucky and NY. Welk and Reid can spin it anyway they'd like but it was a blood bath for any breeder not named Hunterton. Canadians cannot afford to go north of 30-40K with the exchange rate, shipping, taxes and many owners are simply calling it quits around these parts where I live in Penn. The cost of keeping a horse has simply made horse ownership too expensive. And it's not even fun attending the races anymore as nobody is there and the on track ambience doesn't exist.

even hunterton struggled, save for the one that sold for $500k
the number of horses overall that sold for under $10k was shocking
