Gambling Day VI, Monday, 9/8/25
« on: September 08, 2025, 09:21:38 AM »
Stakes races have not worked out well for me, and my virtual stables have been all cleared, and following Bello's lead yesterday, (and JT's previously), and just trying to run through a card was a good exercise and brought me back to the basics of handicapping and wagering.  Being 0/5 in the new order and still on a running month cooler previously though my budget has dropped significantly until I can show some consistent success.

I'm going to hit Pinocchio Down's today  ngc3, weather looks nice, expecting a FAST track.  Already handicapped the first few and getting back to the balance of that card this morning.

Here are some of those selections, more to come, and wagers too.  Good Luck Everyone!  ;D

Pocono Downs At Mohegan Pennsylvania (Start 1:00pm, 14 races)

1 - 24763

2 - 467 any order

3 - 8/12/21

Excellent, and a very deserving vacation!  I hope you both are enjoying every minute of it!  tmbz1

If you have to pay a little more, tip extra for cleaning, light damages to the bedroom area, don't think twice about it, just let y'all wild side come out  ngc3.  Beyond traveling, it's the main benefit for using someone else's bed!  ;D

We always tip the cleaning personnel.. even though where we stay, they don't service our room at all...which is a good thing. I'm also going to throw the maintenance guy who has been at this property 15 years 50 bucks.. when Hurricane Erin passed by here it moved 2 or 3 feet of sand into the parking area off of the beach. Him and a few others rebuilt the beach and did an amazing job... and yes it is a great benefit  ;D The wife and I celebrated our 23rd anniversary yesterday. The town we are in is Buxton NC. On Cape Hatteras.

That's great, you both know as well as I do, you take care of people, they'll remember and take care of you and unfortunately we stand out which benefits us however shows how many cheap entitled slobs out there they have to deal with.

I had to look the town up, it's a beautiful, quaint seaside area.  Lot's of fresh Seafood restaurants look great, ice cream shops too, I'd be hitting all of them, Chilly Hank's, Happy Belly... ;D

The 23rd is called the Silver Plate Anniversary, so....

I just got through the first 4 races at Pinocchio.

FL is a no can do, I'm really sour on that place.

But I'm going to follow along boss!

Good Luck Bello!   ;D

I can never figure the 1 and 8, Burke and his magic potions.  That's likely it today, just some individual race bets but I don't think anything past the 4th.

In race 2 im boxing 26

I am hoping for a line up...One concern is why is Gnap off #2  . Was a bad ride in last but did Gnap chose off the the trainer elect a driver change,

#6 is very sharp but grinds to the lead so not the fastest out of the gate. Also hates to win so I am hoping 6 grinds to the top with #2 getting the trip behind him.

Will they follow the script?

What a fucked up race.  Allard lets the 3 his cover back him out of the race, not even a thought of a 3 wide move on the backstretch.

Moving on, If Burke is in the race, just know he can make any horse go 5 seconds or so faster.
