Albin Jiminez susended one year
« on: September 02, 2025, 06:13:55 PM »
Jockey Albin Jiminez has been suspended for one year for stiffing a 1-5 shot so his baby momma, fellow jockey Summer Pauly coukd win😂😂😂.  The trainer turned him in.  I give the stewards credit for not just brushing this off.
Trainer Tommy Drury, Jr. was "extremely disappointed" in the ride Albin Jimenez gave to his horse Afleet Vintage in the second race at Belterra Park on Aug. 21, reports Horse Racing Nation.

"I immediately asked the stewards to review the ride, and my understanding is that they are doing so," Drury told HRN. "While that review is pending, I've made changes to my riding assignments for Friday and Saturday."

HRN later reported that Ohio stewards had decided to suspend Jimenez one year over the ride, beginning on Aug. 29. The suspension will be reduced to six months if Jimenez does not appeal.

I rewatched the race and few days ago.. it was a very blatant stiff job.

Now you need to re-watch it again, and forget the 1 and 3 and check out the 2 at 9/5, especially the stretch drive so he doesn't get in front of the 3.

They staged the fucking race to be a 3 - 1 - 2 tri.

I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve a longer suspension, but his ride can be seen very often at some of the smaller tracks.
I’m primarily a NYRA and big track bettor so most of the riders give you a good-great ride, as I’m not one of those “blame the jockey” disgruntled bettors you see/hear at tracks and OTB’s every day.
Watch Parx, Finger Lakes, Fairmount, Mountaineer, Charlestown, and you’ll see a Jimenez ride every day. If it’s Fort Erie, you’ll see it 2-3x day.
