*SPA Day XXIII, Saturday, 8/9/25 & Arlington Millions*

The SPA has another beautiful weather day tomorrow, FAST & FIRM expected.

T-Bred racing -

-The SPA has a Grade I & II race. 

-The Arlington Millions G I race and stakes card held at Colonial Downs is tomorrow too.  Their track configuration is as follows  - 1 1/4 Dirt oval, a 7 1/2 furlong inner & 1 1/8 mile outer Turf Courses.

-Delmar (Turf Stakes)

-Woodbine (All Weather stakes)

Harness Racing  - 

-Red Shores Gold Cup and Saucer elims (they are 1 hour ahead, AST)

-Mohawk has a stakes

-Northfield has the Milstein pace stakes (Prince Hal Hanover will be there)

Nice, dry weather expected at all aforementioned tracks. 
Tough week for moi, see if I can 180 it.  Good Luck!

Coming into today total week losses have ballooned to $3141.70.  Not one winning day since starting this last Monday 8/4 until now 8/9.  My budget for today is dictated by my wagers.  13 races and pre-scratches I have $798 bets written out.  Including the loses just under $4k.

If I don't win today, in fact lose badly I might have to do something biblical, like sacrifice a virgin.  I know, what bible am I reading lol!

Have you ever tried handicapping them backwards like from race 5 to 1. 

I often start at the bottom of the form, highest horse number down to lowest.

All the time.. my strategy, not that it has worked recently lol, is to find my single first and then build my ticket off of that single.. and also looking to beat what I would consider vulnerable heavily favored horses and spread in those races if my budget permits it. The worst is what happened at the Spa in the early pick 5 yesterday.My single got through, but you lose a leg where you have 5 out of 8 horses covered. I wish I could always hit the all button but#1 my budget doesn't allow that and #2 you can win the ticket and still lose a bunch like at Finger Lakes Monday.. it's a fine line to walk.

I got 3 races into handicapping 13 last night and passed out in front of the computer.

Ran to the kitchen cut up a watermelon and got a good sugar boost.  Haven't slept since Friday morning.  I actually made watermelon soup, poured some heavy cream in there, was fucking great!

If I sound whacked out today, now ya know why!
