SPA Day XX, Wednesday, 8/6/25

Nice weather at the SPA tomorrow, the forecast mid 70's to low 80's, low humidity, sun and overcast.  I interpret that to be a FAST and FIRM track.

Weather's good, but my handicapping this week, dreary.  -$2392.09 to start the week, wow, wow  .  Time is overdue to head in the other direction.

As usual, just one race for me as there is only one stakes race there today.

Not crazy about it, and only dabbling with $ on it. 

1 3/4 mile on the Dirt, Race 7 (4:31pm) The Birdstone Stakes (non-graded).  Six horses entered.

I'm going with the #5 Time For Trouble, 12-1 ml.  Last time at this distance (2 times total at this distance and had a 2nd place), he and the jockey decided, fuck this let's not run when the gate opened.  Fresh off a couple months or so, liked what this 8yo gelding did at 1 1/4 on a fast track and thinking running slower will make up for the extra 1/2 mile, and can run w/o lasix, different jockey too, Lezcano.  #5 Time For Trouble is this trainer Hiles greatest money earner and the trainer never won a stakes.  Some of these horses have experience at the distance, some not on a fast track, others no experience.

Lot's of stakes on Thursday, today is a breather of sorts. Good Luck!
