Trump tells you every couple weeks he wants a cease fire.. Then a couple weeks later says "Finish the job." What the fuck do you think that means? The French have called for a Palestinian state. This isn't new. It's what the Jewish State agreed to half a century ago. Here is what our U.S. Ambassador to Israel said in response: "If France is really so determined to see a Palestinian state, I have a suggestion for them — carve out a piece of the French Riviera and create a Palestinian state there.... I find it revolting."This is your American ambassador, someone who is supposed to seek solutions slamming a country trying to do just that. All in the name of propping up genocide.

President Biden was successful at getting the Saudi's to "normalize" relations with Israel. They would, within the framework negotiated by President Biden's team,recognize the Jewish state. This angered Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis, who are supported by the Saudis biggest rival in the region, Iran. This agreement with the Saudis would also "push the palestianian" issue to the back pages of the news. They had to strike hard. And they did. They thought that Israel would respond "in kind" and limit the damage. But Hamas miscalculated. And Israel bombed them into the Stone age. Now we get the usual screams of genocide from the long standing Israel haters in the powerless UN. And Arab nations, like the Saudis, Jordan, etc. strongly protest. But they hate Hamas just as much as Israel does. That's why NONE jumped into the war. Hamas has been, much like Arafat's PLO (now Fattah) given many chances to to achieve a "tepid" peace. But most Arabs want to work and live in "Israel proper" as it's called. It's the only place "within reach" a person can make a decent living. As for France. despite the 3rd largest Jewish population (approximately 500,000) in the world, they have always been anti-semetic. We saw that in WW2 with the Nazi loving Vichy regime. And as for President Trump, has continued President Biden's (who is a self-admitted Zionist) support for Israel's survival. Both Presidents, have different nuances on policy, but in the end, they are on israel's side.
Trigger.....while your sentiment is great and I fully agree, the human condition will never allow the world to be in peace. There's never been a time where there was no war in world history. Before Israel was designated a "Jewish State". Sunni and Shia were killing each other for generations. And still do. And as much as we might want the world to hold hands in "Kumbaya", it would be naive of me to believe it can/will ever happen.
