I read 1 horse confirmed dead, 1 or 2 unaccounted for. I didn't see an update on the people, though, oddly enough.

Thr Ruidoso Downs million dollar quarter horse races just ahead, trials were just completed
The track had recently had more repairs completed after two previous flooding issues following devastating forest fires, burning all water absorbing vegetation. Simply the worst possible scenario.The costs have broken many operations.

Godspeed to all affected there. Human and animal
