Ocean Race 6

Can someone explain to me how the 6 got 4th in this race?  I was going to bet the super and got shut out unfortunately.  Would have caught it but even the announcer said the 3 got 4th .  Camera shot shows the 3 in front of the 6 so I am confused

I watched the replay, it was close but it looked to me #6 nosed out the #3

I didn't see the photo.

First time watching at full speed was a blur, looked like the 3 by a head, the announcer, you and I and our lying eyes apparently lol.

On the slo mo very close it has to be 6 by a nose.

Having a hard time trying to explain this...Bare with me,,

It has to do with the camera angle and how the finish wire is perceived. The wire looks angled because of the placement of the camera. Sort of like the Old Yonkers camera placement. The video camera is not the photo finish camera. Look at the finish wire poles, and you will notice an angle view. The grandstand pole looks like its further back than the inside pole.

Thanks!  yeah some camera angles make it difficult.  Also , they really need to fix the sound and camera feed for this track!  It goes in and out all the time and sound is awful so I had it muted which is why I missed getting my bet in.  I actually wish they would have put the 3 up lol..I would have felt better because I had the 6.  Literally would have caught the super cold.  I score a lot of supers at this track!

I recall the days when Yonkers had the camera  angle so bad, when you watched the race you had to add an entire head or neck to the outside horse

yes-the sound was terrible-not fitting considering a HOF announcer such as "The Velvet Glove" calling the races there
