As a race caller I struggled with him.His dialect is tough to understand when he speeds up, at times mispronunciations .But that's not on him, but on me and others. In our native tongue, we're used to listening for the most part to people speaking the same. We need people who are speaking English in other dialects to speak slower to fully understand, that's impossible for a race caller.Give a listen to him calling the 2025 Borgata Final at Yonkers. I heard at 1:35 Desperate Man off stride because I know who he meant, but it's not the way it sounded and if you're not an avid participant, you're getting lost.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4m6ylLrmFEGood Luck!
My most difficult discussion was speaking English with a man from Scotland, I only understood every third word.
