Josiah, had a win in three starts last night at Running Aces.In the 6th, with horse he trains, getting it done at 9-5.No board luck though with Elson's longer odds trained steeds in 7th nor 11th.
Definately another verification of a ficitious story.
A lot of good drivers (and horses) raced in Macau. The track opened in September of 1980 and good drivers from Australia, New Zealand and the U.S. spent time there as the purse money was good, as was the attendance and publicity. They imported over 500 good horses from Australia and New Zealand. Muhammed Ali, Cary Grant and Gregory Peck attended one of their feature races in 1981 (won't see that here!).
You must be young. At one time, harness tracks like Roosevelt and Hollywood Park attracted many A list celebrities. You can find pictures of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Humphrey Bogart, Kirk Douglas and many others attending the races. Hell, I was in The Pegasus one night when John Travolta and Sylvester Stallone were there.
