The main goal is to make the final, so you don't cook your horse trying to get the lead from post 7 going to the half in 53. Im not saying Louprint is better or not than Fallout.. It just was impressive he got 4th with that trip. In another thread I mentioned this is only these horses 3rd, 4th start of the season. Alot can change throughout the summer. I'm not sure the process but doesn't Fallout get in the final by finishing 4th in the fastest elimination?

well--i cannot Monday Morning QB Tim Tetrick and probably never will

when I mentioned he left with "good intentions"--of course that doesn't mean "go get parked the mile"--i am sure he left hard to secure a pocket trip or at worst a three hole trip on the cones--but it didn't work out that way

as far as main goal is to make the final--100% agree--the fact that he isn't towering over these by any means, so assuming he makes the Final by taking back then rallying for 3rd...that's not a good idea

maybe TT isn't what he used to be--that question has arisen recently--but his record and accomplishments speak for themselves..not saying you are bashing him

he was a tough spot vs that group--i felt he had to blast out--it just turned in to an ugly loss where he doesn't make the Final

Its a shame he didn't make the finals. Alot of people on here have been questioning Timmy and whether his skills are diminished etc.. I would not hesitate to put him on a horse of mine of that caliber. I've always thought that with most drivers, they are only as good as their stock, and in recent years with the exceptions of Shartin and Confederate, he hasn't had the best of the best stock to drive. This might end up being a year where the top 3 year olds take turns beating one another with no true standout. Louprint could prove me wrong and I also love Rick Wink, another Burke horse. Im not sure what he's staked to, but he's only had 1 lifetime loss and his mile at Delaware last year was ultra impressive.

Probably that they would have had 3 in the final if Yannick wouldn’t have driven Sippenonseasroc like Yannick drives everything

likely because he thought he had the race in hand and was coasting until he glanced over and saw Prince Hal charging fast so he had to so some urging to hold on.

Still think Louprint is the best and I think others will do the work next week and he will be close enough to brush and crush by the 3/4s

Shame about Fallout..he went a huge mile but bad drive by Tetrick but not as bad as  Gingras on Sippinonasearoc, a horse I think overrated based on one big mile and Burkes filly Lookinatloulou lost yesteday and wasnt she being talked about being a monster..what happened, not even in Canada

I agree--the guy is sooooo overrated!! Because he is so predictably aggressive the other drivers take advantage of this and are able to benefit in these kinds of races.

Agree with all of this other than Searoc only having 1 huge mile.  He paced home out of his skin in the breeders crown final last year and wins if it is another 10 feet.  In that race though Zeron gave him a covered up trip and let him chase

Anyone else wonder what Mickey Jr was bitching at Wrenn when they were going to the winner’s circle?

Great observation.  I think it was directed at Wrenn, based on his expression during the exchange.  Perhaps Burke was not happy with his measuring the horse he could see, and only catching a later glimpse of Prince Hal charging, where he had to start him up again??

Louprint got an easy trip in the elim. The final will be faster. I not so sure he was within himself. Wrenn urged pretty good in deep stretch & he just made it. Will he be on the lead in the final? If so I believe will face some pressure & could spill.
Plugs were in and the couple pecks of the whip were over,he was in total shutdown mode when the runner -up came into the picture.
