Since The Meadowlands has now become a second circuit, why don't we move the Hambletonian back to Du Quoin?

Good luck with that. Start a grassroots initiative. You'll get far with that one. LOL.

Been pretty much everywhere as far as racing but Du Quoin is the one place I never got to experience. When I said this to a couple of horseman who raced there, their response was " Lucky You" so I guess its not for everyone tmbz1
Come with me to the "Darkside",its a matter of life or death!!

I will tell you that you go to the middle of nowhere and then keep going to get there.
Absolutely monstrous fairgrounds. As far as harness goes, the word for DuQuoin is HISTORY. tmbz1

Du Quoin also held the Word Trotting Durby once The Hambo moved to NJ. A tranquil atmosphere.

  • Bitter Truth: That Golden Tempo , I'm afraid is  a money burner. Gets so far back. Was in range but just hung and raced even in the stretch. Didn't see a Derby winner in there in my opinion.

  • Trigger: I thought BT & I had a real good shot w/ a 110 4/5, wide but nice momentum, and then a sharp left turn mid stretch ended that  ngc3
