I know that negativity is the currency of choice around here but this was the right decision for the horse and the guy paying the bills - probably the sport too.  The filly has looked good not great and this group of three year old colts requires her to be great.

As an add on this year has seemed a bit slow to develop - real lack of high end horses outside of the aged male pacers, 3 year old colt pacers and Twin B Joe Fresh

The owner employs Nick Galluci do you really think he cares about the sport or the horses??  FYI Nick went to work for him on his private farm while suspended

I've known Nick Gallucci and his family for some years. Nick is sharp, very focused and is very very win oriented. But they race homebreds and George Millar mostly wants his horses to be healthy, safe, and happy.
Yes that sounds absurd but it's true.

all valid points and i agree it is whats best for the filly as she is a second or two behind the colts
however next time the owner/trainer dont mention it , all that hype and was never likely to go in the race,

It’s not “ chickening out “ … it was a very smart decision by the connections … the 3 yr old colts are STACKED this year.

So why would he hire a trainer on suspension and hide them at his farm till suspension over???  Had someone else listed in mean time.
